James Shipley

James manages all marketing activities on behalf of NAS, brand partners and all affiliated school districts, including strategy, program creation, sponsorship sales and activation and marketing communications. He has more than 20 years experience using sponsorships to increase awareness and customer acquisition for brand clients. 

Charlie Brinley

Financial Strategy and Operations 
Charlie supports the financial and operations areas of NAS.  Previously, Charlie spent over 20 years in leveraged finance investment banking covering Sports, Media & Telecommunications and Middle Market companies.  As a leveraged finance banker, he structured and arranged capital for acquisitions, expansion, and operating needs.  Charlie is passionate about his community, supporting youth and youth sports, particularly in collaborative teamwork settings. Currently, Charlie also works with Let Me Run, a boys non-profit running organization, developing strategic partnerships with corporates.  Charlie is married with three kids, is a diehard Philly fan, and holds a B.A. from Kenyon College. email:

Terri Murphy-Kempthorn

Business Development
As a daughter of a Hall of Fame high school football coach and collegiate gymnast at the University of Michigan, Terri is passionate about student-athletes and understands the importance of this role for so many.  Couple this with 30 years of media, marketing and sales experience, Terri takes her responsibility to manage and grow sponsorship sales and activation seriously for the greater good of both middle and high school student-athletes, coaches and staff as well as our corporate partners who choose to brand and grow their businesses  while giving back to their community. email:

Anthony Grillo

Business Development and Community Marketing

Anthony brings over 15 years of experience creating and delivering integrated marketing plans and community campaigns that drive measurable results through brand awareness, social engagement and increased bottom line results across a diverse portfolio. Driven with an infectious passion for sports marketing and authentic approach to building lasting relationships, Anthony has joined the NAS team to develop community partners who understand the impact and power sports marketing can deliver to their bottom line by investing in a social, digital and brand marketing strategies that focus on building authentic, meaningful and long-lasting relationships with the consumer.  email:

Mike Moore

Executive Producer
Mike Moore is and Emmy Award winning video producer with more than two decades of experience producing and leading the production of nationally distributed content with ESPN. While at ESPN, Mike coordinated the production of several premiere high school events including regular season HS football, the prestigious McDonald’s High School All-American Game and the annual Under Armour All-America Football Game.

Chris Barry

Corporate Partnerships
School District Manager
Chris is responsible for account management with NAS clients.  Chris has over 20 years of experience in managing corporate and non-profit accounts, as well as being a Business Coach to executives and entrepreneurs. Chris’ expertise supports in expanding corporate relationships to drive revenue to the properties. email:

Jenell Marcus

JenellOperations Manager, Graphic Designer
Jenell manages all of NAS's internal website content management and design, including creation of corporate marketing and sales materials, and maintaining social media channels. She also operates the support desk for all NAS clients. Prior to NAS, Jenell owned a graphic design business and managed a commercial retail printing facility. 

Ashley Osiecki

Communications Director
Ashley is responsible for communications, public relations and social media initiatives for NAS. As a recent graduate from Queens University of Charlotte, she had the opportunity to study abroad as a student journalist at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. She was a women’s soccer student-athlete at Queens and is passionate about communicating the successes of young athletes to the communities which support them most. email:


Timothy Chartier

chartierAssociate Professor of Mathematics, Davidson College
The StatSquad curriculum was developed in a partnership between NAS and renown statistician Tim Chartier. Dr. Tim Chartier is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Davidson College. He holds both a B.S. degree in applied mathematics and a M.S. degree in computational mathematics from Western Michigan University. He received his Ph.D. in applied mathematics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
